Trump Adviser Steve Moore Endorses Paul Broun

Influential conservative economist and Donald Trump adviser Steve Moore endorsed Dr. Paul Broun in the Republican primary race for Georgia's open Ninth Congressional seat Thursday.

Moore played an instrumental role in developing supply-side economic policies in the Reagan administration. Moore was the chief architect of President Trump’s Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 that spurred tremendous job growth and increased real wages for the lowest-earning families for the first time in decades.

The conservative economist asserts that sending Broun back to Congress will give President Trump a key ally among House conservatives for his America First economic agenda.

"Paul Broun has proven from his record, not just his rhetoric, that he supports a free-market and conservative agenda, and right now with all the chaos throughout the country, he is exactly the person Donald Trump needs as an ally in Washington,” Moore says.

Moore continues to advise the president on economic policy and regularly appears on Fox News. He is currently a visiting fellow at the Heritage Foundation and chairman of FreedomWorks’ economic task force. He was the founding president of Club for Growth and previously served on the editorial board of the Wall Street Journal.

Responding to Moore’s endorsement of him, Dr. Broun noted,

“Few have done more to make America prosperous over the last few decades than my friend Steve Moore. He knows exactly how to make the American economy thrive and grow. Tax cuts and economic freedom are the keys to prosperity, not big government taxing and spending. I’m honored to have his support and look forward to working with him to bring American jobs by rolling back taxes and regulations in the next Congress.”
